Why Any Guitar >$100 Should Have a Strap-locks?

First of all, I don’t really understand why the hell guitars as costly as Les Pauls don’t come with it already! I mean, with an angled and glued neck which would snap right off with the slightest of blows, its really stupid of them.

I had a bad experience of my own. Didn’t manage to get the strap-lock installed the day I got this baby. And look what happened! Basically whole guitar fell down with the cord wire port downside.

Luckily, I just broke the cord-wire pin. The guitar seems intact! Kudos to Epiphone. But things could’ve gone wrong.

So I got these ProLine strap-locks installed. Did 3-4 gigs with this bad-boy! No problems so far 🙂

So, if you still have your axe without strap-locks, forget about showin’ off on gigs. Cuz it may fall down and have you regret deeply. Get locks, be safe! 🙂

Why It’s Important To Blog

Some dude's messy diary..

Some dude's messy diary..

I never had a diary. Thats the truth. As a child, I didn’t find any sense to maintaining a diary. Documenting daily events in a hard-bound book sounded senseless to me. I mean, we’re living our life. Not doing a outer-space mission to keep track of every movement you make.

But that was younger me. At 19 years of age, I’ve gotten wiser. I understand that journaling is a pretty good idea. Since life gets complex as you grow up, at some point, you get mixed up with too much information. Journaling helps in keeping track of them. But it still sucks since I don’t have it as a habit.

Point is, for all this time, I thought blogs were either personal doodle books or marketing machines. I was never able to actually convince myself to put effort into one. And I’m being completely honest.

Today morning, it struck me. If I were to maintain a blog and expect someone else to read it, I need to put something up there of interest to someone. Something interesting. And creating interesting stuff requires creativity.

Creativity doesn’t just take shape inside the head. It is born from one’s life experiences. So, if a person cannot figure out something interesting to say, HE ISN’T LEADING AN INTERESTING LIFE. He isn’t taking chances. He isn’t pushing the limits.

So, before I end up making this look like a page torn out of a corporate motivation book, this is what I’m meaning to say.

If you can’t maintain an interesting blog, you’re leading an uninteresting life

So whenever one wants to know if his life is taking the right path, he can take a look at his blog. And stuff will be clear.

Why 2010 Sucks For Me

By nature, I’m no whiner. That ain’t me. But I wanna get this off my chest. 2010 Sucks For ME!! Yup it does. And no I’m not making up a statement without citing anything supporting it. Though its just been less than a month since New Year, I’ve been having shit almost everyday.

Without going on endlessly about it, I’m laying down the facts in bullets. Everybody loves them bullets.

  • Fell down from the bike (parents still think its a soccer accident) and got terribly injured.
  • Piece of red hot coal went straight into my eye and I got burns (while doing Smithy work in Mechanical Lab).
  • Most of my college works are past the deadlines and I’m in big trouble.

And thats just half a month of shit! Don’t wanna talk about it any more. Depressing Nonsense…

P.S: This doesn’t have anything to do with 2007 STILL being the worse year in my life.

BTW, I’m interested in knowing your stories too. Which would you call the worse year in your life & why?

Hemingway’s Secret For Productivity

We all know Ernest Hemingway. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954. He was an American writer and journalist. During his lifetime he wrote and had published seven novels; six collections of short stories; and two works of non-fiction. (I totally stole half of that info from Wikipedia!) Hehe..

As we’re all familiar, the biggest problem for a writer (or even bloggers) is “Writer’s Block”. Every writer/blogger would have faced this situation once in his/her lifetime. Hemingway had his way of coping it. Here’s a nice quote I found:

The best way is always to stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day … you will never be stuck. Always stop while you are going good and don’t think about it or worry about it until you start to write the next day. That way your subconscious will work on it all the time. But if you think about it consciously or worry about it you will kill it and your brain will be tired before you start.

So, let these wise words bring more contentment and productivity in your life. Peace out!

I’m Blogging From My iPod

Nothing much to say actually. I’m blogging this post from my new iPod Touch 32Gigs. And I have to say this is impressive. The WordPress 2 app is really amazing.

It’s a test post actually. Just felt compelled to test it out.

Watch Out, I’m Back!

J S Bach

FYI, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Sebastian_Bach to get the gist of caption..

Its 1:24am in the morning right now. And for some reason, I’m suddenly feeling the urge to blog. Thats very weird actually. My superior sense of dates tell me its been like 7months since I blogged 😉

So, I just wanna say that I really think I’ll be blogging more often. Don’t ask me why. Don’t ask me are you sure. Just hold on to your seat, folks.

P.S: Holding onto the seat part may not be necessary.

Heads Up! Fake Steve Blogging Again!

Fake Steve Jobs

Fake Steve Jobs

Last few days have been very eventful. But, the fact that there was no post written about it here is in direct contrast, right ? Well, taking me for granted as a run-of-the-mill blogger, yeah. I don’t like the concept of blogging about each and everything going on in my life. And thats exactly why I’m not a big fan of Twitter which quite frankly sucks.

Ok, enough about that. I got a good news for you all and just wanted to give you a “heads up!”. For those who are unfamiliar, Fake Steve Jobs Blog was (and is) a very popular (& Funny)  blog written by Dan Lyons who impersonates as Steve Jobs.

I was an avid reader of the blog for some years when he stopped updating the blog. Reason being the obvious, Mr. Jobs’ illness. Now, he has started blogging again. And he’s funny as always.

So, to past readers, I’m sure you would already know this since this news isn’t actually fresh. Its stale for 2-3 days. For new readers, go on and check out his earlier posts and some of his hit posts like “Eric Schmidt Serenity Prayer”  etc.. LET THE COMMENTS ROLL !!!

Any Alien Spottings in India ??

In my last post, I elaborated about a new insight I got about the whole UFO phenomenon. Now, honestly, I was never a non-believer in the UFO phenomenon. I remember my childhood when I used to scan through the newspapers to find articles related to the topic.

And this is the disturbing fact. Every other alien spotting I saw occurred most probably in America. And so, my post UFOs Love America . I’m asking a simple question. Since I’m from India, Can anyone here tell me about UFO spottings in India ?

See, its scientifically proven that if you’re genuinely craving to see something, you’ll have the illusion of seeing it. Like the Oasis for lost travellers. So, people dying to see aliens out there would see them (or even fake them).

I’m begging for your comments cuz this is really interesting… 😀

My Take On Alien Sightings: Evidence

UFO

Previously on TechRoach’s Blog, I blogged an article: UFOs Love America. I had explained why I think of it that way. And, it always bugged me when I thought about it. For some reason, I tend to cling on to certain things that I’m interested in (and let go of most other stuff. eg. Studies.).

And now, I’ve come to a conclusive opinion. Right now, I think I know why UFO sightings are more reported in USA. And, the direct consequence of my opinion leads to:

Consequence: Aliens haven’t been visiting Earth!

Seeing that, Some of you might stop reading this article right this instant. Don’t. Cuz you need to read this.

Now, those who’re reading this post is probably interested in these stuff and, it goes without question that almost all of you should know what Area 51 is. For those who don’t, here’s the wikipedia entry Area 51.

Now, back in the cold war days, Area 51 used to test ride this surveillance aircraft called Lockheed A-12 “OXCART”. It runs at Mach 3 and is super stealthy. So, America used to fly this baby to spy over other countries.

Now, look at the shape of the jet and tell me if or if not it looks generally like a Flying Saucer ? It has that BIG belly to store enough fuel for its cross-continent flights.

Demonoid, Here I Come !!

demonoid

It has always been a dream. From the day I started my journey of downloading stuff online, Demonoid was always a dream community to be in. As a dude from India, piracy is sometimes the only way to get certain stuff which isn’t available locally.

Although, I try to buy the non-pirate versions of most of the things I need, there’s times when you get desperate and need it really badly. Demonoid is one of the ultimate in exclusive p2p communities. They’re trackers are said to be faster beyond comparison to other public torrent sites like PirateBay, MiniNova etc.

Anyway, thats that. For anyone who wanna know, I’m Jithmeister there. And, PLS DONT ASK ME FOR INVITES CUZ I DONT HAVE ANY. I’m a new member and obviously for that reason, I don’t have invites in my account. Nada.

Anyway… as always thank you reading. 🙂
